I read the post and was frustrated by the sites linked. These sites are not accurate in their reporting. They do not mention that Georgia state law (which should take precendent over city ordinances (Liz Brooks please correct me if I am wrong)) GA code 31-1-9 and GA code 31-1-6 protect the dyad. They allow a mom to breastfeed anywhere the mom and baby are legally allowed to be together. In a later comment on "the stir "website it clarifies that the city council used breastfeeding as an example of an exception. We are constantly fighting to encourage moms to breastfeed and accurate information needs to be provided.
