This is the answer I received re the ingredients in Cabbage Gel.

In answer to your questions, yes, the Cabbage Gel does contain
a small amount of peppermint oil. This is necessary for the topical
cooling. .  We do not believe that the amount of aloe vera that an
infant could ingest is significant to cause any intestinal distress. We
do advise mothers to thoroughly wash the breasts after using either the
cabbage leaves or the Cabbage Gel,since infants are frequently very
sensitive to scent and taste.  Please let me know if you have other
