Hi Attie: Check out the LLLI Conference Syllabus p.60-62 for Dr. Pisacane's
papers which includes "Iron Staus in breast-fed infants" A. Pisacane et
al., J.Pediatrics 127:429-31, 1995. Also worth a look "Rethinking Current
Recommendations to Introduce Solid Food Between Four and Six Months to
Exclusively Breastfeeding Infants" Hans Christofer Borresen, JHL
11:201-203, 1995.
How many mothers have we heard say that their baby won't eat solids at 6
months? All this current research just supports that age old wisdom of
watching the baby not the clock/calender.
