Just as much of lactation, it is hard to identify the effectiveness of a
product - is it a real effect, or is it the placebo effect?

However, in my experience working with two moms who pumped to exclusively
breastmilk feed their babies (never had baby at the breast), both found
times when their milk supply went down, they tried fennugreek and Mother's
Milk Tea, but found little effect until they used Reglan. With Reglan both
were able to increase supplies enough to continue pumping even though they
worked outside the home.

They also did NOT follow the usual prescriptions of Reglan - they started q
6 hours for 3 days, then to q 8 hours until their milk supply reached the
levels they felt were adequate - then they would stop it cold turkey and
their supply would remain adequate for a while (weeks or months) then it
would go down again (stress, tiredness, overwork, life...), and they would
go back on Reglan. As they had MD relatives, they would get the drug
without my intervention - just let me know what they were doing when we
spoke.
