The cans that are stolen are usually large cans of powdered formula, 
weighing about 26 oz, that cost around $30 to $35 at discount stores. I 
don't know how long they last.

Last time I looked, a 28 oz bottle of ready to feed (less than one days 
formula for a month old baby) cost between $4.79 and 5.99 for the 
regular stuff, more for the hydrolyzed ones (in NYC). It's even more 
expensive when bought in individual servings.
