A mom with a 10 1/2 month old baby has been diagnosed with De Quervain's
tenosynovitis. It began at 3 months postpartum with pain in her left
hand and thumb, and has now progressed to intolerable pain that is being
treated with a splint and cortisone injections. Three friends have told
her that they had similar symptoms that disappeared when they weaned
their babies (at 3 months, 5 months, and ?) Her doctor has told her that
this disease is not hormone related, but in view of the anecdotal
information provided by her friends, she is unsure. Does anyone have any
experience with this?

TIA
