I'm an LLLL so I don't recommend probiotics as part of lactation counseling. But, as the mom of a toddler with multiple intolerances, I am on message boards with many people who use them. BioGaia infant drops seem to be the most popular and the women report that their pedis or GIs are suggesting them. I'm currently using Ultimate Flora for myself and Klaire Labs for my son. Klaire is only available with a pin number from a healthcare professional.

For an infant, the real trick is finding a probiotic that does not contain allergens. Many of the brands sold in retail stores have dairy, soy, or fish derivatives. BioGaia seems to be "clean" but my son had a negative reaction to it and I know others who did too.
