Hi !
This post is a bit late , but fasting is what I was busy with the past 24 hours
and was not online.
Based on Ruth Lawrence ,short term fasting will not decrease milk supply
and only severe dehydration will have a detrimental effect on mik volume.
In any case many rabbis are very lenient regarding bf moms .
If pregnant or bf mom feel bad they are encouraged to break the fast immediately.
Our code of law ( The Shulchan Aruch ) discusses the case where a pregnant
woman craves a certain food on a fast day and enables her to eat it if she feels she must .Both the physical and emotional wellbeing of mom and baby come before all.
Warmly
esti golovensitz
