Some of our clients prechew meat to give to their older infants.  In
elementary school I was shown a video on Eskimo/Inuit (sp) babies being fed
this way in their igloos.  When you compare this practice to commercial
baby food meats that can be contaminated by 1 worker who doesn't wash their
hands or the work to puree meat at home in some contraption -- this
practice just makes a lot of common sense.  Just like breastfeeding. :-)

        I was excited in a way to know an "old" practice was still alive and
flourishing.  It gives me hope that breastfeeding will also come alive
again for many more of our families.
