Hello again and a very Happy and Healthy New Year to all of you,

I've got a question that might fit into the 'colourful colostrum' issue.
Has anyone of you ever heard of the 'Rusty-pipe-syndrome'?
I was reading a baby magazine and came across a mother asking for someone
who knows what it is and if there are any other people having it. She
states that her family doctor has never heard of it (but that's often the
case with lactation related subjects isn't it? they've got so much to
learn....).
Hate to admit that I've never heard of this specific name either.
It seems to be that her milk is *always* bloody (she speaks about blood
INSTEAD of milk). Ofcourse I'm aware of red coloured milk due to several
causes, we've been through almost all of them in the past few weeks, but
I'm wondering now if there's anyone out here who can tell me more about
this specific syndrome.
Haven't searched the archives about this, because it's really new to me and
I can't remember reading something about it in Riordan, Lawrence or
Lauwers, please forgive me.......... Hope to hear from you soon and LACTNET
thanks again for existing!!
TIA Renate Rietveld IBCLC
