What does she mean when she says she has gel in her breasts? If she means she is pumping out thick, mucousy looking milk, this is most likely a breast infection. I would suggest having the thick milk cultured. If her milk makes lumps after she pumps it, same thing. If she means she gets a lot of plugged ducts, the Breastfeeding Answer Book has good information. One suggestion is trying the lecithin and I have had moms tell me that really works to cure constant plugged ducts.
