Can any of you provide me with research studies or information about
lawsuits (as opposed to anecdotal reports) regarding the issue of newborns
being given various substances in the newborn nursery either without their
mother's knowledge, or against the express orders of the parents or doctors?
I trying to track down anything published that I can cite to make the point
that a mother may not necessarily be aware that her child was given a bottle
of glucose water, or a formula feeding, or vitamin drops, in the nursery.  I
guess this might also extend to babies in the NICU who are supposed to be
getting breast milk but the supply runs out, so nurses give formula instead
and don't tell the mom, and even to cases where the child might be formula
fed in the home by a relative or "friend" or at daycare without the mother's
knowledge. Please help!  Thanks all.
