Kathleen Huggins has a new book out on weaning. It deals with very early
weaning (younger than 4 months) as well as later. This might be hlefpul.
As I recall from scanning it several months ago (pre-publication copy), it
does a good job warning moms that this is not always a great idea.  She
also, however, deals with mothers' desires to do so (regardless of reason)
in an honest, straight-forward manner.

Think about getting it and maybe sharing it with this mom.
