 Fascinating case.   If we suspect IGT would  a mammogram or ultra sound be useful somewhere along the way? Prenatal, pp or after weaning? Or would it just be one more way to shut down any BF?  I think any is better than none.  Every drop of colostrum is beneficial for the neonate.

50 years or so ago there used to be a dr in our area who made all her mothers bf in the hospital (7 days then!)
no supplements, BF or your baby starves.  They could do whatever they wanted after they went home, but she made darn sure all the babies got colostrum!
