Did anyone else catch the special on conjoined twins on Discovery Health
channel the other night?  One set, joined at the lower spine, was shown in
a couple of scenes being breastfed.  The babies were about 6 months I
think.  Mom had to hold her arm way out to hold the babies side by side -
one was way out in front of her - while nursing the other.  I would imagine
this took quite a bit of arm strength!  The family lived somewhere in
Africa.  My first thought on seeing this was that if mom had lived in the
US, she would have been told it was impossible to breastfeed.  The doctors
were amazed at how well they did after separation.  I was sitting there
telling the TV that the breastmilk certainly helped!
