Dear lactnetter-
As I follow the Jewish wisdom of the Old Testament I think we need to remind
out followers of "the Christian Method" (NOT) that the Bible also recommends
that we not provoke our children- what other way can we provoke our children
by making them "bark", cry or beg to be fed. I think those of us who are in
maternal child health and are Christians/Jewish should go about finding all
the scriptures to refute this parenting method! -Dr. Sears are you out there?
 I find this whole means of feeding totally inhumane. I find it interesting
that as a Christian when I have asked questions of the teachers of this
method they become very evasive in their answers- that is not how we as
Christians should behave- we are supposed to be forthright. I really liked
what Cathy Barger had to say about food in the hands of the trainer- perhaps
the parents should be denied food and fluids until the are "good parents"!!!!!
Just my 2cents as an incensed Christian!
