"If you think parents get hyper about blood in stool, you should see
them
when baby vomits blood - freak out time, even if the reason (bldg
nipple)
is obvious!

And when they see blood in pumped milk they think they have to throw
it away. I suspect there are many times when a nursing baby may get
a drop or two of blood even without nipple trauma. A tiny capillary
may "pop" even with normal, effective suckling. It's just that when
it goes directly into the baby, we're never aware of it.
