 Babies are smarter than most of us.  They would rather breathe than eat!  If a 
baby is working too hard to breathe he will not breastfeed.  However, with a 
bottle you could force feed him.  My rule is that if an infant wants to 
breastfeed, regardless of the respiratory rate, he may. Many times the 
respiratory rate will slow down when the infant is in his mom's arms feeding.  
An infant may not bottle feed unless his respiratory rate is < 60-70.
