To balance out this thread on engorgement....

Don't forget that although mismanaged breastfeeding is the cause of most
engorgement, in this day and age extra fluids (IV's are usually given
with that epidural) causing overall edema can be a factor.  There is also
extra blood and lympth in the breast after delivery that contributes to
the overfull condition of the breast.
