OOPS! In my previous email on the subject of partially defrosted donor milk,
I absentmindedly said we received our milk from the Denver Mother's Milk Bank.
In fact, we get it from Mother's Milk bank in San Jose.

Thank you to the person who forwarded my email to Denver. I was able to clear
my error (they were wondering why they hadn't heard of me). Apparently Denver
ships on dry ice while San Jose does not but ships overnight. Only
occasionally are some bottles partially defrosted by the time we unpack them. We simply
use those bottles that night.

For the record, our daughter has never had an ear infection, respiratory
infection, or much more than a cold despite being a genetically compromised little
girl. We are so thankful to all the Milk Banks and to all the donating
mothers. We had to put up quite a fight just to get the prescription.

Sorry for the error. Heather Dana (Portland, Oregon)
