A Smithsonian article on a repository/research facility for exotic mammals milk -- partly aiming toward having a substitute if zoos need it for a baby animal, but also to explore the genetic links and the variability between different species -- how the milk the baby gets relates to the eventual adult diet. And a lovely picture of a mother and baby aardvark -- making a strong case for the joys of the side-lying position!
