I'm proud to say, after that TV marathon, that I work at Maricopa Medical
Center. :-)
They did quite a few private interviews with medical staff, (me too) but I
didn't see any of those on this program.

Mary Alice also said she breastfed her twins!
When I was interviewed, the questions were not on the 'why' of BFing, but
on how I feel about my job, and about the moms & babies.

Dr Berman's OB was FIRMLY in favor of mother's choice for elective c/s. The
focus of her argument was to preserve the pelvic floor for future sexual
relations and avoiding postnatal incontinence. She was dismissive of Kagel
exercises. Mary Alice's beliefs came through that perhaps more caution
should be taken in making this choice. Given time, she may have come to the
baby's condition (I hate the word 'tolerate') with c/s. I had to smile when
Dr. Berman said if she had known about the post-op pain, she may not have
chosen the c/s.

I share an office with Becky Bell, RN, BSN, NIDCAP specialist and CLC from
Georgetown. Too bad the sound was poor during her Kangaroo Care segment.

More later tonight as I get feedback at work about the camera crew in the
hospital.
