Sarah's post regarding older women wanting to wean at a year because they
want to get pregnant again piqued my interest. In the past month I have
counseled a few women whose MDs told them that they (a) needed to wean to
get pregnant, (b) couldn't get pregnant if they didn't have a menstrual
cycle and (c) needed to have weaned for x months before they would be
able to get pregnant. Babies are over 6 months and on solids. These MDs
are OBs, with one being a fertility specialist. Moms had a hard time
believing that they could get pregnant if they were nursing.

Does anyone have any good articles I can pass on to these moms?

TIA
