I get a journal called Clinician Reviews. Aug 2003, Vol.13, No.8, pg.70 has a "Curious Case": Images of unusual medical cases from the British Medical Journal, complete with picture. The picture is of an obese 72 year old lady with bilateral knee osteoarthritis, "admitted to the hospital for a total knee replacement. Postoperatively we saw her on the ward with the outer leaf of a cabbage taped to her nonoperated knee. She said this was the only measure that provided relief from the symptoms of her osteoarthritis and that the outer cabbage leaves fit well with the shape of her knee". BMJ. 2003; 326:1406

Will keep this one for future reference when my osteo knee acts up! Pat in SNJ
