Dear Heather,

Thank you for your LDS post. I was hoping that someone with personal
experience would fill us all in. Isn't it something that the unknown is
often assumed to be negative? I think that the Amish often take a similar
rap for similar reasons. Probably Hassidic Jews, Moslems, Jehovah's
Witnesses, and other religious minorities are also potential victims of
misunderstandings. I think that Roman Catholic priests and nuns are
sometimes suspected of being "weird." And Protestants who are Evangelical,
Pentecostal, or Born Again also catch some flack on occasion. Now, I myself
am an Episcopalian (To Jack, Maureen, Anne, and other Empire citizens: U.S.
branch of the Church of England ) so I am probably prone toward apathy more
than anything else.

Bonny Nothern, IBCLC
who is being very "tongue-in-cheek" about the Episcopalians but is still
very sorry about the misunderstandings about LDS members.
