Yes! this sounds like just what I am saying. It is an ongoing process to
"read" the mom and try to help her problem solve. I always note, on my
initial hospital assessment, number and ages of other children AND
stepchildren because that is usually also a factor. And I always consider
mom's budget, which is often very low here in rural MS. So I'll ask "is
there any money at all in the budget to rent a pump?" for example, instead
of saying "you need to rent a pump."
