Hi, Lactnetters!
I have a mom with a 5 month old baby who has always spit up. It is now
getting very frustrating to the mom, and out of desperation, gave baby
formula (aka abm or pimp or whatever we are calling it) in a bottle. The
baby does not spit up formula from bottle. Mom wants to know why, since
breastmilk is easier to digest. There have been no changes in mother's diet,
milk supply is plentiful. Baby is difficult to burp. Spitting up has not
affected weight, but mother is tired of all the extra laundry, sheets,
clothes, etc., she has used. She also has a 20 month old, so time is a
precious commodity. She is considering using even more bottles to ease her
frustration. And baby will spit up breastmilk from bottle, too. It is a
milk-based formula she has tried. I would appreciate any tips, hints, or
explanations to pass on to this mother.
    Thanks!
