Re: Tandem Breastfeeding

Having recently investigated tandem breastfeeding extensively, it seems that
for the woman with a normal pregnancy history, breastfeeding while pregnant
probably has no adverse effect on the pregnancy. However, a woman who has a
history of repeated pregnancy loss, should probably be advised to wean as
soon as she knows she is pregnant. The release of oxytocin with mild or not
so mild uterine contractions is the reason. There are no good statistics,
though......Victoria Nichols-Johnson, MD
