Re: Your post dated Mon, 17 Mar1997 13:56:54, you made a good point that "If
a baby can suck on a bottle nipple she can surely suck on the real thing!"
but I question your comment: "And when mom is not available, continue with
tube feedings and eliminate any chance of the infant developing nipple
preference."  Premies can be cup fed using pliable 1 - 1 1/2 oz. med. cups
and kept 'breast ready' without the intrusion of tube feeding unless
absolutely necessary.
