Looking for info from those with POCOS experience.
Have you ever seen, read or heard about POCOS also affecting labor progress?
It's a personal question. My daughter, expecting her first after difficulty
getting preg due to POCOS now is towards the end of the pregnancy and keeps
stalling. She's been 3-4 cm, 100% effaced and 0 station, contracting 2-4
minutes for a month now. ( Poor kid!)
Contractions are pretty hard but only last 1-2 minutes each contraction. At
least they occasionally then will switch for a bit to irregular and give her
a 5 minute break point between contractions- just enough to keep her sane so
far!.
I just am curious if POCOS could also affect the oxytocin release and be a
part of the stall? Not a fan of induction but I wonder if she isn't making
"enough" oxytocin to get this started alone.
Any info would be really appreciated- her Dr.s are great but have had no
experience with POCOS and I have had to give them info so that this
pregnancy came to be and maintained long enough for anxious grandmom- to -be
now had other questions :)
Thanks!
