Dear Lactnet Friends:

Anecdotally, I heard many, many stories from across the country about how
wonderful life was during the H1N1 embargo on hospital visitation.

Here's a citation for a poster presentation from Driver and Colbert,
published in the JOGNN 2010; 39 (1) supplement. Naptime resulted in
increased patient satisfaction, increased staff satisfaction and a decrease
in night-time supplementation.

I guess that when moms and babies get a chunk of time alone together in the
day, they rest and nap and nurse a lot and mom has the energy for
night-time parenting.

warmly,
