I was doing a lactation consult last week and did a pre-weight and
post-weight on a baby. I realized that a ½ ounce in weight does not mean a ½
ounce in milk. How is this calculated? One gallon is 5 lbs. So how do we
figure out how much one ounce of milk weighs? I could weigh it myself I
suppose and have my own little chart I guess. Is there a chart or other
formula for this?
