Hi All,
Am wondering whether anyone has come across anything like this before.

Am working with a post c-section mom, baby seven days old, who has been
experiencing localized pain under the shoulder blade on the side she nurses on.
It is a very specific spot halfway beween her spine and side. It does not
radiate into her breast, nor does it originate in her breast, rather it feels like
something is poking out of her back when she nurses. She only experiences
the pain on the side she is nursing on. If she double pumps then she feels the
pain on both sides. I am absolutely stumped. Applying warmth seemed to help
a little. Position change did nothing to alleviate the pain. I don't even know if
she is experiencing the situation as increasingly painful because it is getting
worse or because she has weaned off her c-section medications and therefore
is feeling more.

What is this???
