Hi all,

A question was directed at me the other day that I am not able to find an
answer to, I am hoping that someone here on LACNET will be able to help me
out.

I was asked if it is "appropiate" to place the "C" behind the "RN" when
using IBCLC if your are a registered nurse?

I called the state board of nursing and they stated " they do not regulate
the Certifications used with the licensure of nursing", they are separate
and not regulated by this office. Are there any other nursed out there that
can help me with this question or know who to ask? I do not have anyother
certifications except the "IBCLC". I do know of other nurses who sat exams
for "High-Risk Infant care, and Low Risk-Infant Care or what is not Mother/
Baby" do place the "C" in there titles as RNs.

I do not want to have a problem with this as charts are legal documents.

All help is appriciated.

Ann Slaughter RN (C)? / IBCLC
