I can only speak from my personal experience. After I weaned my 2nd child (it
had been at least one year since nursing) I just started working for the
hospital in a LC capacity. As I would show moms positioning, I would
sometimes hold my breast as I would point out positioning. Well I guess I
used my left side MORE because I started feeling letdown. When I expressed
that side I had greenish colored fluid begin to come out. I stopped using my
own self as a teaching tool and got a cloth breast and eventually the letdown
went away. Its been 10 years now, but I'm sure if I tried, I could make some
milk again. Just my own story..... nothing is wrong with either breast. I am
menopausal now.
