Let me tell you a story--a true story in the Life of a Lactation Consultant.

I worked with a client who was in anguish because her baby wouldn't feed at
the breast. She was pumping and giving the milk in a bottle. Someone gave
her my name and when I arrived she said that her husband told her, "Honey,
I know how much you want to breastfeed our baby. I want it too. I've
looked at our budget and I've set aside $1000 for you to do anything that
you need to in order for our baby to feed at your breast."

The baby latched on that day to one breast and fed beautifully, while tears
ran down Mom's face. It took a couple of other visits before baby was
feeding both sides and Mom's confidence was solid. She never reached her
$1000 in LC expenses :), but her joy is worth a Million $$.
