I will say that as an apprentice midwife, it is my impression that
most homebirth midwives (at least CPMs or those trained through an
accredited course of study) have been trained in neonatal
resuscitation and carry all the necessary lifesaving equipment for
both babies and moms. At least I have received the training and am
equipped to act appropriately.

Of course homebirth babies require resuscitation far less often (for a
variety of reasons). But midwives recognize the possibilities.
