I just got off the phone with my check company---Artistic Greetings.  I spoke
with the  Director of Checks, Debbie Hutchens.  I have a number if you'd like
to call, but it's not toll free:  (607) 733-5541.  This is in N.Y.  I didn't
get an e-mail address, but the company does have a website.  Maybe they can
be e-mailed from there:  www.artisticgreetings.com-----Ms. Hutchens seemed
very supportive.  They normally work with the artist.  I would love to see
Lauren Sinnott's artwork of a mother nursing a child (not baby) on checks.
 It's beautiful!  LLLI's catalog has the artwork on notecards (always out
everytime I try to order some).  Ms. Hutchens said it would be possible to
work thru LLLI's catalog.  To make it worthwhile to this company, they would
need to have 300 orders per week.  For our Canadian friends I forgot to check
if this company can produce checks that are acceptable to the Canadian
Banking System--- sorry.  Mr. Bauman's company couldn't do this.  I was
thinking of contacting LLLI next week to see if they could work out something
with this company.  Any thoughts on this?  In the meantime, you can have a
sig line (I believe someone already mentioned this) put on your checks.  Any
check company can do this.  This is located between the amount line and your
signature line.  I need new checks now, so I will be ordering ones that have
a school theme with a line like Breastfed babies are smarter or have a higher
IQ, etc.  What do you think?
