Yes, EBM for mouthcare in special care nursery is  practical sensible and helpful to babies in many way.I have dipped the cotton bud or  gauze in mothers' milk on  many occasions to gently wipe around a babies lips and  inside the mouth. Have not made any comparisons  but do  explain mothers  how baby gets the taste and smell and  encouragment  to  begin mouthing and  tounge movement.
