Does anyone know how this pill works? Do you take the pills for 28 days, then stop and get a period? What is the incidence of breakthrough bleeding? What is the latest on decrease in milk-supply with the progesterone-only and estrogen pills? Someone called me, whose baby is 5 months old. She is considering the various pill options. She wants to go on one where she can control when she gets her period, but which doesn't affect milk supply significantly. Does such a thing exist? She has a big vacation coming up in a couple of months and doesn't want to have her period during it.

Any recommendations? Sorry I am so ignorant on the subject, especially how the pills actually WORK.

Julie, LLLL in Teaneck, NJ, CD (DoNA)
