Rob,
While I don't disagree with Gail's post about waterbeds, no one told me
this 23 years ago!!. I nursed 5 infants on our waterbed. The old
fashioned type with no baffling. (We love it, so I also had to bring one
to Switzerland, since they are not so available over here). However, I was
uncomfortable with the baby alone on the bed, I didn't ever do that. I
only had them in bed with me at night when they were small, our waterbed is
quite full and firm, especially when you put my 200+ husband in it. I was
comfortable with them when they were with me, I was always aware of them
being there, we never had any incidences of getting on their tummies. Dumb
luck?? Could be, it is just my experience. They have all grown up loving
the waterbed and even though they are all teen+ I often have to throw a
couple of them out of my bed at night, especially when dad is out of town!!
(Except for the ones who have their own waterbed, is this addicting?)
