I have a mom who is vegetarian and whose baby's hair has fallen out on the
top of his head.  Relatives are telling her that it is her "inadequate"
diet that is causing his hair loss, even though she is very healthy. She is
taking a multivitamin supplement. And baby is growing well.

Her baby had abm for several days after birth, and is now exhibiting dairy
sensitivies so I have her doing an elimination test.  She is concerned
about subtracting the dairy from her diet, given that she is already uneasy
about her diet's effect on her baby.

I am not vegetarian, but have worked with countless mothers who are, and
some who are vegan.  This mom is well educated about her nutrition, but you
know how doubt can sneak in when one's baby is affected.

My opinion is that all is well, but would like to hear from any of you on
this case.
