my experience was exactly the same as Lynn's.   It felt as if I was
being hit in the chest with a baseballbat.

At 5 weeks it was much better, at 12 weeks (with both kids) it had
finally disappeared.

Second recommendations for feeding more frequently and *not* use both
breasts at each feeding.
