We are trying to think of ways to advertise breastfeeding as an attractive,
appealing activity, easpecially to dads. A way to encourage men to support
breastfeeding. Because we are interested in lactation, we see it as a
normal part of life. Is it desirable to promote bf as "hot?" It would have
to still be defendable as a process that doesn't belong in a bathroom...It
seems that health benefits may not be hitting home. If the health benefits
of a whole foods diet were all that attractive to folks, there wouldn't be
booming fast food business in the US. Or is it glamour that sells? Maybe if
BF is glamorous? Maybe that's why the gadgets are attractive to people? Is
that why it's important when celebrities bf? How do couples decide not to
breastfeed, before they ever try it? The car seat analogy works for me, but
it's not all that sexy. Just thinking.... Judy
