Hi all,
Someone wrote that cows have the sense to give their young cow's milk.
Unfortunately, this is not always the case. My daughter and I were
reading a book about baby animals a few years ago, and a few days after
the baby cow in the story was born, he was weaned from his mother's
milk and put on special "formula" so his mother could produce milk for
human children to drink. My daughter thought that this was ridiculous,
and unfair to the baby cow (calf, I know) and said that every animal
should have mothers milk, she was 6 years old at the time. Smart kid,
must be all that human milk!!
I was struck by the irony and sadness of the whole picture. If the
human babies were drinking human milk, the little calves would be
getting cow's milk, just like nature intended!!!
