My favourite line is this one:

"To avoid this [nipple pain], the most common reason for
breast-feeding discontinuation, try to limit nursing during the first
week to feeding intervals of 2.5 to 4 hours for 8 to 10 minutes on
each breast."

Aaaaargh. So to avoid 'the most common reason' for stopping bf, he
advises something that will *directly cause* an equally common reason
for stopping bf (insufficient milk or perception of it).

And this is a professor of clinical pediatrics. Would he dream of
writing about any *clinical* issue in a journal without making 100
per cent sure everything in his writing was correct and up to date?

I'm gonna have to write to him, aren't I? All the way from l'il ol'
England......:)
