I will address the SNS issue because I want to share with all of you what I
saw the other day.
A woman with insufficient breast tissue was supplementing her bf baby with
the use of a feeding tube going right into a small (hospital issue) glass
bottle which she just held in her hand! No fuss, no mess, easy to clean and
CHEAP. She made it look incredibly easy! This was her 2nd baby.
I like to use things that are readily available, that's why my sweet dentist
orders me curved tip syringes by the case!! They are cheap - 50cents each.
I can afford to leave 3 with clients who need them, or they can easily afford
to buy 3. It is a great way to get EBM into a baby.
With the glass and tubes, one would have to get a case of tubes and throw
them in her kit!! How expensive are they??? I don't know.
As far as the Lactose thing goes, I am sure plenty of people will respond to
the difference between lactose and bovine protien intolerance.
