Priscilla,  I think that sometimes just being able to vent and be heard is
important.  How much worse if this lady had kept silent?  Maybe she has
never articulated her pain and disappointment before and no matter what you
said would have triggered a reaction.  I have had defensive health
professionals in classes and once they have had their say, been heard and
handled with respect, they are only then in a position to hear anything of
value.  Some have gone on to become amazing breastfeeding advocates.
