Need your help! Although I work at the medical school next door, I have
been informed by our county hospital NICU that the CEO has decided that
providing "volume feeders" (those little bottles they give NICU moms to pump
into and leave labeled in their fridge?) is too expensive. So, in another
defeat in our ongoing battle to get more of these babies fed their mothers'
milk, they are being told to figure it out on their own.

I have been asked by the nurses if it is safe to use sandwich bags. I told
them tentatively yes, with a caveat about spillage and leaking, and that I
would get back to them with more definitive information.

HELP! Now I need to be sure that I have not led them astray, and that we
have not discouraged yet another fragile, depressed mother.
