I've been out of town and am catching up on LN posts. Someone wanted me to
"tell more" about the IV fluid poster presentation at ILCA. I've told you
all I know. The abstract was straight out of the syllabus. It's an
interesting bit of research and would be great to get people looking at this
issue at other sites. We can speculate all we want, but until the evidence
is in, we may draw erroneous conclusions. I don't know (as someone else
asked this question) whether they looked at pitocin. I think this study
only looked at IV fluids and infant weight loss, and determined that the
babies were not peeing off fluids.
